You and Maggie will meet a total of 6 times, each for an hour.
-
The consultation is at your home, with your family and your dog for about an hour. This is a chance for us to get know each other, evaluate the dogs, set realistic goals, make recommendations for equipment, answer any questions you might have and get consent to proceed.
-
You and your dog will learn the skills needed to accomplish your goals set during the consultation. Maggie focuses on concepts like calmness, confidence, listening, and leadership. Other things may include come when called, sit, down, housetraining, stopping undesired behaviors, and more. Each case is different.
-
It can be uncomfortable to pay upfront, but don't worry. At the end of the consultation, you will be asked if you are comfortable and in full agreement with Maggie's recommendations. If you are, we will schedule the remaining 5 sessions, and no refunds will be given after that. If you answer no, a full refund minus a $50 charge for the time spent, will be given, and we will terminate our relationship.
-
You may call and speak to Maggie and she can send you a link to schedule or you can book on this website. Look for a button that says SCHEDULE NOW. You will fill out a form, read the policies, choose a day and time to meet for the consultation and pay in full. You and Maggie will schedule the remaining 5 sessions in person, at the end of your consultation, if all is agreeable.
-
Yes! You will receive an e-book of all Maggie's training handouts that will help you understand the techniques more deeply and provide a resource for you to consult. Because MMDT is a small and personal company, you will also receive unlimited contact with Maggie in between sessions via phone, email or your preferred way to communicate.

In my experience, five sessions are what most people need. If your dog has severe issues, you have trouble learning or staying committed to training or any other number of reasons, you may need additional sessions. You can book additional sessions for $125 each.
